ERFA supports education, health, vocational training and community development programs in developing countries including within Africa, East Timor, Papua New Guinea and the Philippines.

Within Australia, ERFA supports programs for socially and financially disadvantaged children, youth and families. These include Edmund Rice Camps and programs for indigenous Australians, refugees and asylum seekers.
