ERFA would like to congratulate Zipporah Mwangi on her appointment to an exciting new role as Chief Health Officer with Nairobi Country Government. Zipporah was appointed the Ruben Centre Interim Director following the recent departure of Nicholas Makau. Zippy has contributed so much to the Ruben Centre over many years, particularly within the health department and will be greatly missed.
Br Frank O’Shea has been appointed as Director to provide continuity and stability to the Ruben Centre. Br. Frank has had many years of experience as Director of the Ruben Centre.
ERFA has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to manage the transition and ensure that the Ruben Centre remains the heartbeat of the Mukuru community. We look forward to seeing what is next at the Ruben Centre.

1 in 3 children in Western Kenya cannot read a single word.

As we head towards the end of the financial year, your gift can help children learn, read and thrive.

In rural western Kenya, classrooms are overcrowded, teachers are untrained and under-supported, and children are leaving school unable to read, leaving them disadvantaged for life.

But, with your help, this can change.

With improved teacher training, better literacy support and safer classrooms, children can gain the foundational skills they need to succeed at school and beyond.

Your support this tax time will help train teachers, strengthen schools and help thousands of children learn to read with confidence.
