To remember and commemorate Greg, Flexible Learning Centres are invited to apply for the annual Greg Hildebrand Award. 

$5,000 grants are awarded to two Flexible Learning Centres to fund an initiative that supports young people and reflects the creativity and passions of Greg’s life. 

Applications will be shortlisted using a scoring system by a panel of judges.

• 2017 Townsville Flexible Learning Centre – Rainforest Kitchen 
• 2018 Mount Isa Flexible Learning Centre – Mount Isa FLC Mowing and Garden Maintenance Enterprise 
• 2019 St Mary’s Flexible Learning Centre – On ya Bike – Cycling Program 
• 2021 Townsville Flexible Learning Centre – Enterprise Warehouse and Studio 
• 2021 Edmund Rice Flexi – Immersion Program (With St Joseph’s Flexible Learning Centre) 

Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) Flexible Schools Network currently operates 22 flexible learning centres, each a registered school, around Australia. 

They provide a place and an opportunity for young people to engage with learning and community. Flexible learning centres operate on a common ground basis where young people are empowered to determine their own pathways.
