Reflection is such a valuable exercise. ERFA has recently undertaken an in-depth process of reflection to look back on how far we have come and to take stock of the achievements of our amazing programs around the world. It is startling to think that ERFA had its inception in 2011, meaning that this year is our 10th anniversary!

In 2011 we contributed A$1.3 million to development projects and, as we approach the end of 2021, we are on track to funding more than A$22 million to programs over our 10 years of operation. This has resulted in empowerment and advancement for hundreds of thousands of people and has been made possible through the incredible support of the wider Australian Edmund Rice community. Our main goal will always be to provide education to the disadvantaged and to support sustainable community-based education programs in developing countries and projects for the marginalised and disadvantaged groups in Australia.

To share in this success and to view the full 10-year timeline of our organisation, read our Annual  Report at https://erf.org.au/reports/annual-reports/

1 in 3 children in Western Kenya cannot read a single word.

As we head towards the end of the financial year, your gift can help children learn, read and thrive.

In rural western Kenya, classrooms are overcrowded, teachers are untrained and under-supported, and children are leaving school unable to read, leaving them disadvantaged for life.

But, with your help, this can change.

With improved teacher training, better literacy support and safer classrooms, children can gain the foundational skills they need to succeed at school and beyond.

Your support this tax time will help train teachers, strengthen schools and help thousands of children learn to read with confidence.
