The CEBU Families Program, implemented by Edmund Rice Ministries Foundation, Philippines Inc. (ERMFPI) supports 95 families living in the private cemetery and street sidewalks near the port of Cebu City.

They are amongst the poorest communities in Cebu City, earning below minimum wage and struggling with stigmatisation, resulting in limited livelihood opportunities.

The project initially provided these families (parents or youth earners) with TVET training and now, this new phase, enables the TVET graduates to acquire necessary experience through on-the-job-training, while other family members are empowered to set up small livelihood businesses to provide complementary family support.

Training in financial literacy and savings mobilisation schemes, enterprise development and basic business management enables stakeholders to gain the skills to plan, manage and operate successful businesses, obtain small loans and determine their own futures.

The project is supported by the Australian Government through the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP) and by ERFA.
