St Joseph’s Kensekka Vocational Secondary School empowers vulnerable youth by providing training and skills to boost employment opportunities.

Currently, we partner in two projects within St Joseph’s Kensekka Vocational School: Tailoring skills for education and income generation; and capital construction projects to enhance access to education.

Empowering youth AND THE COMMUNITY through Tailoring skillS at SJKVSS

This project provides training in tailoring skills increasing employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for youth in Rakai, Uganda. The income production department manufactures and sells uniforms and bags to a number of schools in the region generating income to support SJKVSS operations.

CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

ERF is supporting a number of construction projects at SJKVSS to improve access to education and to facilitate the school’s registration as a government-recognised Universal Secondary School. Projects include new science and computer laboratories, water sanitation and hygiene facilities.
