For many girls in South Africa, violence steals childhood and silences voices. Survivors—especially those with disabilities—are left without care, justice, or hope.
A safe, caring space offers therapy, education support, human rights, and leadership training, including inclusive support for deaf or hard-of-hearing girls.

Together, we can help girls heal in a safe and caring space.
For many girls in South Africa, gender-based violence leaves deep emotional scars, disrupts education, and silences voices. Survivors, particularly girls with disabilities, face heightened vulnerability, stigma, and limited access to justice and healing.
The Mbokodo Program, delivered by Justice Desk Africa, supports girl survivors reclaim their power, and become leaders for change. Named after the isiXhosa word for “rock,” Mbokodo stands for resilience, strength, and unbreakable dignity.
The program provides a safe, trauma-informed environment where girls receive:
Through this holistic approach, survivors rebuild self-worth, learn to advocate for themselves and others, and inspire change.
Many become peer mentors and community advocates – challenging harmful norms and inspiring broader social change that protects other girls from violence.

Your support helps girls and young women turn trauma into strength, and lead the movement for a safer, more just future for all girls.
