Doco in a Day 2025 brought together 289 students from across Australia — all with one mission: to use the power of storytelling to champion access to education. In just one school day, 87 short documentaries were created. And the results? Absolutely inspiring.
From creative concepts and powerful messages to strong calls for justice, every entry showed heart, talent and a genuine desire to make a difference.
🎬 Judging the Best Doco
With so much quality, choosing a winner was no small task. That’s why we brought in the experts:
Sal Balharrie – an acclaimed Australian writer, producer and director
Archie Chew – a talented videographer and editor with a keen eye for powerful stories
These two had the tough job of reviewing our entries — and they were blown away by the originality, impact and storytelling on show.
