Joseph is talented at drawing and cycling. He’s friendly and social and he loves nature which gives him inspiration. With very few chances for schooling for teenagers in Kibera, Joseph was lucky to receive an education. Now he’s found his passion for graphic design and has become a student in the Mirror of Hope computer training program. Not only is he learning valuable vocational skills but he’s loving being busy and learning new life skills as well.

Joseph says…

“I will use the skills I learn to be innovative in this society of today to create solutions to various problems. Joining this program has positively impacted my life and I know it will help many to come.”

Equipping youth with skills for employment opportunities and the training and economic empowerment for women.
I am so happy and thankful for ERFA for teaching us how to plan, work and plant vanilla in the correct way.

1 in 3 children in Western Kenya cannot read a single word.

As we head towards the end of the financial year, your gift can help children learn, read and thrive.

In rural western Kenya, classrooms are overcrowded, teachers are untrained and under-supported, and children are leaving school unable to read, leaving them disadvantaged for life.

But, with your help, this can change.

With improved teacher training, better literacy support and safer classrooms, children can gain the foundational skills they need to succeed at school and beyond.

Your support this tax time will help train teachers, strengthen schools and help thousands of children learn to read with confidence.
