The lawns of Treacy Centre, Parkville were transformed in splendid fashion on the evening of Thursday 8th Feb.

Famous arias of Puccini, Mozart, Dvorak, Schonberg and Bizet were performed by the talented voices of four Victorian opera singers and the pianist of Opera Victoria.

Soprano Breana Stillman is an Australian based in Rome. In her world travels, she went to Kenya to contribute to developing talent amongst the marginalised. Breanna was referred to the Ruben Centre where Frank O’Shea had partnered with Ghetto Music to form an orchestra. She was so impressed with the results, that she offered to conduct a fund-raising concert when back in Australia.

A huge thank you to all who attended the first Opera in the Gardens. All donations raised will support the excellent work of the Ruben Centre.
