Tailoring Hub: Skills, Employment & Sustainability

The Tailoring Hub continues to grow as both a training centre and a school‑based enterprise — and we’re excited to share some promising new achievements.

Recent Progress

  • – 12 trainees completed their training in knitting, tailoring, and embroidery and graduated at the end of 2025.
  • – 4 graduates have already secured employment within the Tailoring Hub for 2026 — gaining reliable income and long‑term pathways to independence.
  • The Hub is rapidly gaining recognition across the region, with uniform orders from 7 schools, including:
    • – 50 sweaters for St Bernard’s
    • – 90 sweaters for Sterac
    • – Plus embroidery of school crests and uniform labelling
  • To meet the increasing workload, the hub has recruited a Production Manager, strengthening operations and supporting more trainees in the future.

Why it matters

  • – 63 young people have already been trained in tailoring.
  • – More graduates are gaining employment or self‑employment opportunities.
  • – Uniform production is becoming a steady income stream that supports the sustainability of the school.

Looking Ahead

Your support keeps this momentum strong. Every contribution helps young people gain practical skills for dignified work while building a resilient school‑based enterprise.
